Annual IML Meet & Greet Party
Kick off your IML weekend with hot, shiny rubber studs from around the world! Our annual meet & greet party will happen again on Friday May 24 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile starting at 7 p.m. We're at a new hotel and that means a new location: the Lincolnshire Rooms 1 & 2. The Leather Vendor Market is on floors 5 and 7 and we're in between on floor 6. Can't wait to see everyone there! Our Facebook event page is up, too. The party will include a cash bar and as usual we're offering our gear shine services. Check out the Marriott Hotel's floor plans here.

MIR at IML
Mister International Rubber will be in the Vendor Mart this year at IML. Stop by, say hi to everyone who is attending, and check out what they have in store for this fall!

April Bar Night
Spring is here - It's warmer and wetter so wearing rubber feels better! Join us for our April bar night on Saturday, April 20 at the Jackhammer located at 6408 North Clark Street. Pool, darts, booze, and rubber: should be a good time! Come by anytime after 9 or 10 to join us.

IML Meet & Greet Party is Booked!

MIR Update
The Mister International Rubber Contest has released an update regarding the remainder of the title year as tribute to the late MIR 16, Jason Lynch. You can view it on their Facebook page.

Upcoming National Events
Rubbout is this weekend in beautiful Vancouver, BC. The fun-filled weekend includes a gear swap, play party, and lots of sexy rubber men from all over North America and abroad. Check our their website for more info. Cleveland Leather Awareness Weekend CLAW is next weekend, April 25-28 in Cleveland, Ohio. Shout out to all the Chicago Rubbermen, friends, family, and fans who will be in attendance at these great events!

A Touching Tribute to the Late MIR
It has been a trying time for members of the LGBTQ and fetish community as we mourn the sudden and unexpected death of Mister International Rubber 16, Jason Lynch. Jason passed away on February 26. Friends, family, and anyone touched by Jason's life continue to reflect on the loss of a dear man whose positive energy some of us were only beginning to experience. The MIR website has a memorial page for Jason, and clubs around the nation and world have been hosting an event, sharing a moment of silence, and raising a glass in Jason's memory.

March Night Out
Due to popular demand, the Rubbermen WILL have a bar night in March! Join us Saturday, March 16 for our own version of St. Patrick's Day fun at Touché Chicago (6412 North Clark Street). Fun starts as early as 9:00 p.m.and continues on until 2:00 a.m. We look forward to seeing you there!

December Event: Brunch?! CRM invade the CPP!
It's a busy holiday season for many, so instead of trying to compete with other events on Saturdays this December, we've been invited to brunch! That's right, the Chicago Puppy Patrol has graciously extended an invitation to their Saturday, December 8 brunch at Nookies, located at 1100 W. Bryn Mawr in Chicago. Brunch is at 11:00 am with excellent food in a great neighborhood. For those of you who already are members of CPP, visit their event page to confirm your attendance. If you are not a member of CPP but are planning to attend, send us an email and we'll make sure there's room for you! This is a non-gear event (I know, I know) but I'm sure if you're creative you can work something into your casual attire ;)

October Bar Night - RUBBERIZE the Newbies
"I don't have any rubber yet...Do you have anything I can borrow to wear...I don't want to be the only one in the bar not in rubber."
Calling all newbies, the curious, the uninitiated, the unrubberized - THIS MONTH IS FOR YOU! Our October bar night will feature a gear try on night. If you have a friend who is curious but uncertain, we'll be dressing and shining up volunteers in borrowed gear. The Rubbermen received a significan donation of rubber (sizes small, medium, and some large) and we'd like to try it out on everyone! Also, if you are looking to sell your gear at MIR and want to generate interest, bring your gear and show it off before you sell it. All the fun kicks off on Saturday, October 20 at 10:30 PM at Touche, located at 6412 North Clark Street in Chicago.

Once again, the Rubbermen are proud to present the Gear Sale at the MIR Kink Market! We will help you sell your used gear for cash and you can buy used gear for cheap! Head on over to www.mirubber.com to learn more about the weekend and the Kink Market. The process is simple:

1. Bring your gear to the market
2. Decide how much you want for each item, and we'll help you tag and price your gear.
3. Check with us periodically to see how your sales are going and cash out whenever you are ready. 10% of the sale price goes to the Chicago Rubbermen and you keep the rest!

September Bar Night
It's time again for us to visit the Cell Block Chicago (3702 N. Halsted) for a little bit of socializing and a whole lotta rubber. Join us on Saturday, September 22 for drinks and remember to visit us in the back bar and visit our guest bartender! Fun starts after 10:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there.

We Have a Swag Store!
You may have seen Pleep and Rubber Kai handing out stickers at our anniversary party. No? Turns out that's not all we have. We now have a swag store over at Cafe Press. Shirts, mugs...dog bowls (yes, really) stamped with the club image so you can show off your rubbermen pride. Sales of items help cover the cost of the item and help support future events by the club. Every year, we host the gear sale at Mister International Rubber. This year should be our biggest year yet! If you are looking to sell your gear, we'll do it for you. A portion of proceeds help support the Chicago Rubbermen; all the rest goes back to you - the seller. Want to learn more? Congratulations to the 2012 Mister Midwest Rubber, Collin!
Touché hosted a great party weekend for the 2012 Mister Midwest Rubber contest. Your new titleholder is Collin! Congratulations and welcome to the shiny. We caught up with Collin to hear about his plans for the coming year:

"I am very excited about the upcoming year representing the midwest! Duties are already underway as I have started a new rubber contest and am working on getting Mr Friendly to my area. Looking forward to seeing you rubber kinksters at MIR!!! Thanks again for your support and see you soon!"

It's amazing how far we've come in the last six years.
